Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you on a great piece of work!
Next, please accept my apologies if this problem has been brought up / resolved before, but I didn't find any reference to it on google/feeder.
Upon loading the following URL in Opera 7.54 on XP (pre SP2) & IE 6.0.2
the initital non-expanded tree displays correctly. However, the '+' signs do not react when clicked, and the branches fail to expand.
Double-clicking the folder icon itself causes the folder to expand, the '+' icon turns to a '-' , but the branch stalls on the 'Loading...' icons and doesn't expand any further.
It's also worth noting that the fav icon displayed in the browser address is actually the MS Word icon. This also happens in Firefox, yet the tree functions correctly in version 0.9.3 of the latter.
FYI, running the tree app through our browser testing servers and tesing pages that call the tree.expandAll(); function, we note that the following browsers also fail (note: this is via a screengrab of the webpage rendered once the tree.expandAll(); is parsed - we cannot say for certain that clicking a node/double-clcking a folder would not work, but it's unlikely).
Konqueror 3.0.5 for Linux
Explorer 5.2 for Macintosh
Opera 6 for Macintosh
AOL 7.0 for Win 2000 (manages to expand, but then only displays 'Loading...' node)
Opera 7 for Win 2000
Opera 7 for Win XP (pre SP2)
Of course, the **good news** is that it works perfectly in the following browsers :-)
Mozilla 1.6 for Linux
Netscape 7.0 for Linux
Mozilla 1.6 for Macintosh
Netscape 7.0 for Macintosh
Netscape 7.0 for Win 2000
Safari 1.2 for Macintosh
Explorer 5.0 for Windows NT4
Explorer 5.0 for Win 2000
Explorer 5.5 for Win 2000
Explorer 6.0 for Win 2000 and XP
Explorer 6.0 for XP
Netscape 7.1 for Win XP
Mozilla 1.6 for XP
Mozilla 1.5 for Win 2000
Firefox 0.9.3 for XP
Phew! I hope this of help to you guys. If you need us to run test URLs through our browser checking server farm, just give us a shout - we'd be happy to oblige.
I understand that you don't have Mac hardware to test the tree for that platform. A number of our users have Internet Explorer 5.2 for the Mac and the tree fails in the same way as Opera 7.54, namely correct rendering of initial tree, but failure to expand nodes. We would be happy to donate some Mac hardware to you (free of charge) if this is of interest. We have a G3 that's gathering dust :-)
