innerHTML and application/xhtml+xml mozilla issue, Jeff Minard, June 29, 2004

Subject: innerHTML and application/xhtml+xml mozilla issue From: Jeff Minard Date: June 29, 2004
Running FireFox 0.9, I have my pages being serverd as content-type application/xhtml+xml (since it should be so).

However, I discovered that when using this mime-type, the browser erros on any reference to innerHTML. I thought I could find a way around this, and found the article here:

But that failed as well! Instead of erroring on innerHTML, the browser decided to choke on createContextualFragment. If i set the mime-type back to text/html in both cases it works again.

Is there any work around to getting the functionality back? Or should I clomp on over to mozilla.org and start filinf bug reports?
