Subject: How to exclude characters when sorting columns? From: Ron B Date: June 21, 2004

Hi,

Thanks for the great Sortable Table script.

However, I've got some difficulty trying to exclude certain characters when sorting columns.

For instance, when sorting a column with the following values:

100

200

300

100/150

110+120

I would like the "/" and "+" and any characters after that to be excluded from the sorting process (not added or divided, just excluded).

Same issue with the following values (used for weight and (euro) currency):

1,20

1,33

1,36

0,12

What change do I need to make to have this working properly?

Would changing the "," in US-currency values to "." help and how do I do that?

TIA

Ron
