I too need this functionality. We may not be able to use it otherwise. Besides 'HOME' like mentioned below(which we need also) , we have top level actions that should be fired immediatly.

I will start trying to build in a fix for this if anyone is still interested?

There are many good reasons why you might want to have the menubutton execute an action, the most common that comes to mind is a 'Home' button. Since the MenuButton extends MenuItem, and you can set the 'action' field (property), isn't there some workaround that should work. Any hints?  Thank you. DHTML Menu 4 is great by the way!!  Jim

This is not supported by design. If you need to be convinced why, just read any user interface guideline.

Hi,
I have added a new menubutton as in:
menuBar.add( tmp = new MenuButton("link1", anu) );
tmp.mnemonic = 'f';
But I dont want any submenus. On clicking link1, I want to directly load a page. How do I achieve this?
thnx,
sg
