Subject: "Pure Virtual Function Call" error associated with sort? From: Brett Merkey Date: June 9, 2004

Hello All,

I have implemented the super-fast new sort in 3 screens. In two of the pages, attempts to use the sort in the latest version of IE6 under Windows XP Professional results in a crash with a C++ dialog stating the "pure virtual function call." The error cannot be reproduced in other Windows OS versions at this point.

The Java developers think the problem is with the sort. I am skeptical. The conditions under which a client-side JavaScript could produce such an error are unknown to me. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Obviously, we know that Microsoft updates often complicate or break things previously working fine but the relation seems very tenuous here.

TIA,

Brett
