I am one of the persons having the same problem. I already said before, just ask and I help. :)

At first I tried using the xtree widget in our CMS system, but it crashed a lot, and not once an hour.

There are indeed no other widgets for treeviews available on the web, with the options you usually want in a treeview. I am now using one, overhere:

http://www.15seconds.com/issue/010921.htm

The crashing was not my only concern with xtree. Focussing problems (a big pain in the ass), mixed up nodes of 2 types, reload method failing on root, etc. I had to write a huge amount of functions to work around this.

The 15seconds treeview, however is not crossbrowser, xsl is not easily extendible, etc.

I can test your code Erik, before you release it. I can help, and let the computers run some extreme stressing tests.

The problem you are seeing is VERY rare without any known way to reproduce it. We do not consider this a critical bug.

XTree 2 is being worked on (90% done). We would be happy if someone who has a system that can reproduce the image loading hanging could be working with us to make sure that the problem is minimized.
