Fred, in order to overcome this myself I simply added this to the bottom of my HTML page on which the tree exists:

<script language="JavaScript1.2">

document.onLoad = tree.expandAll();

</script>

tree is the name of my tree as I'm sure you guessed that seemed to do the trick.

Hello kids,

I am using X Tree Widget 1.17  and I would like my tree to load fully expanded by default. I have used the code from the demo expandAll button which works fine. But this requires a click event. Users don't seem to be aware that the tree is even there initially, as it loads fully collapsed. I would prefer using a page load event or modifying the code so that the tree is initially displayed fully expanded. The user can then choose to collapse it if wish.

Thanks,

Fred
