The password is only needed in admin mode. I think you have tried to run the adminSettings.html as a stand alone. Use the login.html or write the following url
   /index.cgi?action=admin&pwd=Your_Password
The password is located at the top of the data file and is by default set to password at the beginning. This should bring up the message board and from here you can launch the settings dialog.

I assume that the data file is uploaded in ascii mode. Either way, when I try to login, the only
combination that works is "admin" with no password.

The problem is that I cannot edit any settings, error is
"Cannot get password from main".

"admin" with password "password" does not work.
no user with password "password" does not work.

The error for the last two is simply "Error: Invalid Password".

Never mind that I am sending this message through Netscape (because I wanted to see what WebFX looked like).

All in all, a great product. Now if I could only get it to work :(
