1. You should not use document.body.appendChild if you are not appending to the body. Note that document.body.appendChild can be a bit tricky to use while the page is loading.

2. This does indeed work. I'm not sure what you are doing but I would need to see your code to figure out what is going wrong.

Localizing the labels: Good idea.

Hi,
After som study I have this beautiful calendar working! Don't know if the problems I experienced are bugs or what, but here are my observations anyway:
1. Inserting the exact code from demo.html into a large html file caused my IE5.5 to give up with an ugly error message after having displayed the DatePicker (similar to the error reported 2003-01-16, I guess: http://webfx.eae.net/webboard/index.cgi?action=display&group=data/group3&id=471).
So I ended up putting the calendar in a separate window.
2.Following the API doc I instantiated DatePicker without any Date argument. This did not work.
In addition, a mechanism for changing (localising) the text for the "Today" and "None" buttons should be implemented, in the same way as day letters and month names.
