Subject: Prevent XTree from being cached? From: Don Date: March 30, 2004

Displaying XTree in iframe, and contents are being cached.  When links are added/removed/modified, users have to flush cache to pick up change.

Code in use below...

index.php:

<table cellpadding="0" border="0" style="height:100%">
 <tr>
      <td valign="top" style="background:white">
   <iframe src="/development/tree.html" height='100%' id="treeIFrame" style="display:inline">IFrames must be supported</iframe>
   </td>
  <td valign=top>&nbsp;</td>
  <td valign=top style="height:100%; width:100%">

  <table style="width:100%;" cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>
   <tr>
    <td class="bigTitle">Welcome to foobar!</td>
    <form>
    <td class="headerLink"><input type="button" id="resizeButton" value='Hide Table of Contents' onClick='hideShowIFrame()' class='buttonBackground'></td>
    </form>
   </tr>
   </table>

tree.html:

<html>
<head>
  <meta HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache">
  <meta HTTP-EQUIV="Cache-Control" CONTENT="no-cache">
  <meta HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="0">
<script src="javascript/xtree.js" type="text/javascript">
</script><!-- Modify this file to change the way the tree looks -->
  <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href=
  "cssStyles/xtree.css">
<style type="text/css">
        body { background: white; color: black; }
        input { width: 120px; }
</style>

  <title></title>
</head>

<body>
  <div style=
  "position: absolute; width: 200px; top: 0px; left: 0px; height: 100%; padding: 5px; overflow: true;">
  <!-- js file containing the tree content, edit this file to alter the menu,
     the menu will be inserted where this tag is located in the document -->
    <script src="treeContents.js" type="text/javascript">
</script>
  </div>
</body>
</html>
