I now know what is causing this. Links that uses the javascript: protocol fires onbeforeunload. I should have used onunload.

Fix coming up.

I've found a similar issue with 4.2.
If I run a function which displays an 'alert' or runs some JavaScript which sets some CSS attributes (hiding a set of divs) the menu stops responding. All the mouseovers of the menu stop functioning. The menus become strictly read-only and do not response to mouse-over or clicks.
Once the page is refreshed everything works again.
All ideas welcomed.

I am using the menu4 system and am very happy with it, but I've found a problem with it that causes the menus to become unresponsive if I use a window.open command anywhere else on the page. Is there any way around this?
Thanks,
Ben
