 Nice DhtmlMenu4 with QNX Adjustment, Steve, October 17, 2002

Subject: Nice DhtmlMenu4 with QNX Adjustment From: Steve Date: October 17, 2002

I'm very impressed with XMenu and DHTML Menu 4. I'm using them both to build menus dynamically from menu structures stored in a database. I know that DHTML Menu 4 was designed to resemble Windows menus with the small overlap that occurs between menus and their submenus, but personally I like my menus to appear flush like XMenu. So I changed the following in the menu4.js file (added "-3"):

ORIGINAL:
Menu.prototype.getInsetLeft =
function () {
this.updateSizeCache();
return this._cachedSizes.insetLeft;
};

CHANGED TO:
Menu.prototype.getInsetLeft = function () {
this.updateSizeCache();
return this._cachedSizes.insetLeft - 3;
};

Note that I use DHTMLMenu4 with the QNX skin. Hope this helps someone else - bye.

Regards,
Steve.
