Oh, I didn't know that.

I haven't updated my browser because of testing purposes. I don't rely on MS for my safety, I have a virus scanner with script blocking or something like that.

Regards, Martijn

ps. Maybe, with all those nasty security leaks out there, you should forward all users with versions older than IE6 SP1 to Windows Update?

IE5.00 (that is IE with no patches whatsoever) crashes when using timers. This is a known bug and was fixed in IE5.01. Notice that if you use IE5.00 your system is wide open to trojans and viruses.

You should emidiately scan your system for viruses and trojans and update IE.

ps. Maybe I should forward users with IE5.00 to Windows Update?

Hi Erik,

Just wanted to let you know my browser (IE5/win2000) crashes when I try to open the slider article. Reproducability: 100% (5 out of 5).

Only the browser window of the article is closed.

I guess this happens on all the machines with IE5/win2000.

Further, it's a great script/article, as ever.

Regards, Martijn
