A bit off topic in my opinion. But since we are talking about MIO here I'd like to raise some issues/points that I have:

1. Not platform independent. It is just a wrapper to IE.
2. Requires a plugin. One of the strongest arguments for DHTML is that it has zero footprint (no installation required).
3. Mio is an exe so why not just create VB application that uses MSHTML for your app. This is what mio is doing, but maybe it has streamlined the process a bit.
4. The source code is still available. Either by using a debugger or just by alerting all objects
