I'm assuming you have the id of the layer sent as a string.
setOpacity('mydiv', 45);
If it's 'name' u use, just use the appropiate method for that.
(though id's are more common today)

function setOpacity(obj, num)
{
document.getElementById(obj).style.filter="alpha(opacity="+num+")";
}

Hi,
I would like to change the opacity of any layer(div), using a generic
function. With this function, I need to send the layer's name and the
%number (opcacity).
It would be good in asp or javascript. ┐Have you any (easy...) link, for
taking a look ?
