I've tried XLoadTree using IE50 and IE55 on a couple of different computers and it has worked fine on all those. Maybe your installation of IE is corrupt?
Some other common issues are: You are not loading a well formed XML file. Your server is not setting the content type correctly. You are trying to run XLoadTree using the file: protocol.

demo.html on your site, wheb clicking on item 2 (the one that is in external XML), I get on both computers (rather old ones : NT4 + IE 5,5 and w98 + IE 5) an error : line 163 : length is null or not an object. After reload of the page and a click on that item, the whole browser crashes.
my coleague with w2k and IE 6 doesn't experience this, so I guess I'll simply have to upgrade ?
thanks a lot :-), Moses
