This cannot be done easily in IE.

In all other browsers you can use a semitransparent PNG. In a CSS3 compliant browser you can use rgba() or hsla() (Mozilla soon I hope, see http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147017 ).

background-color: rgba(255, 0, 0, 0.5);



Hi there, when i use the alpha(blah blah) how do i make so the values in the td where the alpha is set dont get transparant... i want just the background to be transparant. how should i do
