Subject: tabpane, ie bug; floated DIVs become invisible! From: Martin Andersen Date: May 1, 2005
I've made an Admin panel that uses images for each control panel with its name underneath. The tabpane is divided into tabs like System, Content, Utility etc. On each pane, the control panel images are in divs that are floated left. This works great for Firefox, as you would expect, but in IE, to my dismay, the content of the floated DIVs become invisible! They are there, as reflected in the height of the pane, and the cursor respods to being over these invisible panels, and I can click on them and go to the right panel, but really they need to be VISIBLE. If I turn Javascript off, I get the plain "devolved" look with all panels visible. Also without the load fix, where the panels aren't created until the page is loaded, the panels are originally visible, until the tab panes are constructed.
My Javascript knowledge is not good enought to debug this, alas. Anyone have a clue? Tried setting a high z-index and visibility: visible; for the float class. No joy.
