 DHTML 3 Bug?, Jerome, April 16, 2001

Subject: DHTML 3 Bug? From: Jerome Date: April 16, 2001

hello all,

i've noticed that when i use japanese characters in the DHTML 3 menu, the words seem to have gone out of alignment, letters get arranged in a vertical alignment instead of the usual horizontal alignment. i'm currently using IE 5.5 to test the html pages and i've tried switching the encoding type, but it doesn't solve the problem. however, there's no problem if i'm using just ascii characters.

this problem applies only to the top level items in the menu. items in each sub menu isn't affected by the characters that i use.

any idea what's causing this problem?
