There's a lot of ways to crash IE with "just" DHTML.

Try this, attach a behavior to an element and in that behavior code remove "yourself" from the DOM while "you" are executing in an event handler.

<input type="button" style="behavior:url( crash.htc )"/>

Below is som "pseudo" behavior code

<attach:event name="onclick" handler="deleteMe">

function deleteMe()

{

window.status = "OK let us see what will happen".

element.parentNode.removeChild( element );

window.status = "I removed myself what should happen with this code? Should it execute or..."

}

I'm not sure the above code will crash IE but if you have a lot of code executing you will crash.

Hi there,

I'm writing a pure Javascript OOP library allowing to make interactive Windows like applications. It work great althought but I'm experiencing a BIG problem with Internet Explorer 6 : it crashs (general protection fault error) when a lot of actions actions are done :-(

Does anybody know some reasons that can make Internet Explorer crash simply with DHTML ??

Thank you very much !
