Why don't you create your own date manipulation?

It's simple. Grab the content and change the value in the sort type manipulation to an ISO date. Then, sort it exactly like Erik does in his implementation.

Simpler than use another column.

I just posted it, but did not see it show up, so I apologize if I double posted.

Hello,

Been using the sortable table and absolute love it. A thousand thank yous.

   Here is my issue:

    Is it possible to display a date like "Dec 22" , "Jan 5th". But sort according to a hidden date  i.e. (Dec 1, 12-01-04)  (Dec 22, 12-22-04) and (Jan 5, 01-05-05), (Feb 15, 02-15-05)

Such that the resulting sort would be as follows:

  (Dec 1,Dec 22, Jan 5, Feb 15) or (Feb 15, Jan 5, Dec 22, Dec 1)

 thanks in advance
