This page is under construction. The goal is to include the license, information about available ports and maybe a short FAQ about installing the webboard.
This is just a draft
The Webboard can be used on any non-commercial site. If you want to use it on a web site that is selling a product or used for a company that makes money you are not allowed to use the non-commercial version. In this case you should use the commercial version available from Webcenter Unique ASA (http://www.webcenter.no)
All ports except the commercial port must follow the same rules as the original source code. This means that you cannot redistribute it to anyone with commercial interest. All commercial rights are owned by WebFX and Webcenter Unique ASA.
You are not allowed to port the webboard to ASP. If you want to use an ASP port you should use the commercial product.
The original webboard was made using Perl on a Unix box but there are other ports available. All ports except the commercial port must follow the same rules as the original source code.
The commercial version is available from Webcenter Unique ASA (http://www.webcenter.no). This version is using ASP and MSSQL. It is also available for other databases such as Oracle etc. The Perl version is also available for commercial use from Webcenter Unique ASA.
There is a non-commercial (same rules apply to all ports) port of the webboard to PHP done by Alex Mathew. The code for this can be downloaded from http://alix.sptech.lv/projects/unfinished/wdw2/webfx_php.tar.gz. For questions regarding this version contact Alex Mathew. (http://alix.sptech.lv/).
The PHP version is no longer available at the above URI. We have mirrored the file on our servers. The file can be found at http://webfx.eae.net/webboard/webfx_php.tar.gz. Notice that this version is not maintained.
